The FAQ answers the most common ones: whether you need an account, how sync works, importing Chrome bookmarks, supported feeds, permissions, Taskr, and other Chromium browsers.
My desktop doesn't sync to another computer
Deskr syncs through Chrome Sync, so Chrome has to be set up for it on every computer:
- Chrome is signed in to the same Google account on both computers, with sync turned on. Being signed in to Gmail is not enough.
- In
chrome://settings/syncSetup→ Manage what you sync, Extensions is on. - Open
chrome://sync-internalsand look for Extension settings in the table on the right. If it isn't Running, restart Chrome; if it stays that way, sign out of Chrome and back in. - On a work computer, your company may turn sync off.
chrome://policyshows it asSyncDisabledorSyncTypesListDisabled.
Uploaded icons and background images are too large for Chrome Sync. If they don't show on the other computer, move them with a backup (below).
Moving or backing up your desktop
In Deskr, open Settings → Sync and choose Export to JSON. The file holds your profiles, shortcuts with their icons, RSS feeds, settings, backgrounds, desktop widgets and theme. On the other computer, or after reinstalling, choose Import from JSON.

Please include:
